The Diz Days of Summer virtual challenge is organized by Denny Krahe, the owner of Dizruns.com. A running coach, podcaster, and all-around great guy, Denny wants you to join his tribe and celebrate summer with two weeks of running and sharing. The challenge will begin on August 11 and run (pun intended) through August 24, 2019.
The goal of the Diz Days of Summer virtual challenge is to help you stay on track with your training while raising money to help fight the fight against leukemia and lymphoma. During the dog days of summer, when your training runs for fall races keep getting longer and the heat is still unrelenting, it can be a struggle to get your miles in. By participating in the challenge, you give yourself that extra motivation to stick to your plan and log your miles, because not only are your miles helping you prepare for your race but they are helping to fight the fight against cancer. Talk about a win-win!
As a participant in the Diz Days of Summer virtual challenge, you determine your own definition of success for the two-week challenge. Want to do a two-week streak, running at least one mile every day of the challenge? Knock yourself out! Would you rather set a mileage goal for the two weeks and chip away at it? Get some! Just planning to stick with your normal routine but make sure your training is also supporting the greater good? That’s awesome! Whatever you want to do is fine with me!
As you participate in the challenge, please document what you’re doing on social media using the hashtag #DizDaysofSummer and make sure to tag Denny in your posts as well (@dizruns) on Instagram and/or Twitter. You can also join his Facebook Group and participate in the shenanigans during the Diz Days of Summer virtual challenge!
